The short version
What is the Ozil goal AI trend?
The Ozil goal AI trend puts a new player into one of football’s best solo goals. Mesut Özil lifts the ball over a rushing goalkeeper, lets two defenders slide past and rolls it into an empty net. In the AI version the scorer is you, a friend who said yes, or your pet.
Here you upload one photo and get a 15-second vertical video with sound. The camera, the run and the finish follow one directed shot. The scorer wears a plain white kit with a yellow captain’s armband, and every opponent is a new face: new players around you, or, in the pet scene, a bear in goal, a fox, a panda and more.

Where the goal comes from
The Özil goal, in plain facts
On 1 November 2016, Arsenal played away at Ludogorets in the Champions League group stage. They fell two goals behind early and were level by half-time. Late in the game, as the goalkeeper Milan Borjan rushed out, Mesut Özil lifted the ball over him, sent two defenders sliding past with a dummy and tapped it into the empty net. Arsenal won 3–2.
Ten years later the goal became a trend on TikTok and Instagram Reels: people put themselves, their friends and their pets in Özil’s place. The scene on this page restages that run as one continuous shot, with a new cast around whoever scores.
